  • Approval and Landing: If the applications are approved, the sponsored family member will receive their Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and can proceed to Canada. They will need to undergo a medical examination before landing.
  • Obligations and Responsibilities: As a sponsor, you have obligations and responsibilities, including financial support for the sponsored family member. These responsibilities typically last for a specific period, such as three to ten years, depending on the relationship and circumstances.
