Quebec Experience Program

The Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) is a special immigration program designed for individuals who have acquired work experience or completed a recognized educational program in the province of Quebec, Canada. Education or Work Experience: The PEQ has two streams based on the applicant's background: a. Quebec Graduates Stream: This stream is for individuals who have completed a recognized Quebec diploma or degree program. The program must have a duration of at least 900 hours and be completed within the past 36 months before the application. b. Temporary Foreign Worker Stream: This stream is for individuals who have acquired work experience in Quebec. Applicants must have at least 12 months of full-time work experience in a skilled, managerial, or professional occupation within the past 24 months before the application.
French Language Proficiency: For both streams of the PEQ, applicants must demonstrate an intermediate-advanced level of proficiency in French, as it is the primary language in Quebec. Language proficiency can be proven through language tests or completion of a recognized French language program.
Quebec Residence: To be eligible for the PEQ, applicants must have legal status and reside in Quebec at the time of application. This demonstrates the applicant’s commitment to the province and their intention to settle in Quebec.
Application Process: The PEQ has a streamlined application process, allowing eligible candidates to submit their application directly to the Quebec government. Applicants must provide supporting documents, including proof of education, work experience, language proficiency, and other required documents.
Fast-Track to Permanent Residency: Once an applicant is approved under the PEQ, they will receive a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), which fast-tracks their application for permanent residency with the federal government. This expedites the process of obtaining permanent residency in Quebec.
