What is Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

Participating Provinces: The AIPP operates in the four Atlantic provinces of Canada, namely Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. These provinces actively participate in the program by partnering with designated employers and facilitating the immigration process.
Employer-Driven Program: The AIPP is an employer-driven program, which means that individuals must have a job offer from a designated employer in one of the participating provinces to be eligible. The designated employer plays a crucial role in the application process and must provide support and endorsement for the candidate’s immigration application.
Three Streams: The AIPP offers three streams through which individuals can apply for permanent residence. These streams are designed to cater to different categories of applicants: a. Atlantic High-Skilled Program: This stream is for individuals with a job offer for a high-skilled position that requires at least one year of work experience. b. Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program: This stream is for individuals with a job offer for an intermediate-skilled position that requires at least one year of work experience. c. Atlantic International Graduate Program: This stream is for international graduates who have completed a program of study at a publicly- funded institution in Atlantic Canada and have a job offer for a high-skilled position.
Endorsement and Immigration Application: Once an individual has a job offer from a designated employer, they must go through the endorsement process. The employer will work with the designated organization in their province to obtain the endorsement. After receiving the endorsement, the individual can proceed with their immigration application for permanent residence.
Pathway to Permanent Residence: The AIPP provides a pathway to permanent residence for eligible applicants. Successful candidates will receive an immigration nomination from the province, which will significantly enhance their chances of obtaining permanent residence. The program aims to support the settlement and integration of immigrants into the Atlantic provinces.
